Porsche 911 GT3 992.1 vs Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992.1
We watched 20 videos from 17 reviewers. If you live at the track, get the RS: faster, more grip, more feedback, and reviewers are clear about it. If you'll mostly drive it on the road, the GT3 is the one you'll actually use. Don't buy the RS for the commute.

Counts are head-to-head calls: each time a reviewer picked one car over the other.
Performance
GT3 RS is faster by 0.2 seconds.
Where reviewers split. Two things are unsettled. Straight-line pace: Savagegeese reasons that drag and weight would lose the RS a drag race against the regular GT3, Auto Express watched a GT3 Touring reel it back in, and AutoWeek has it slower at top speed, yet carwow's quarter mile went to the RS, 11.1 seconds to 11.3. Street manners: Savagegeese calls the RS by far the worst street car, while Throttle House says the ride is "not punishing" and that "you could daily drive this." On coverage: both sides are now the 992.1 only. Auto Express and carwow ran the two side by side; most of the rest are RS reviews that measure it against the GT3. Fun and daily use are mostly judged from separate reviews of each car, not back-to-back drives.

Handling
RS tuning feels distinct from the standard GT3.

Fun to drive
GT3 RS feels more lively and raw compared to the standard GT3.

“the standard GT3 is a little bit mute it's really easy to drive but it doesn't feel very Lively this feels Lively and it's still easy to drive.”
Daily drivability
GT3 Manthey retains front trunk space, unlike the GT3 RS.

“The GT3 RS has a huge Radiator in the front taking up all the frun space this has a front trunk which is very nice”
Value

Hear it in the reviewer’s words
“The 911 GT3 is the road car that also laps; the GT3 RS is the same 4.0-liter flat-six handed to the aero department, and it gives up the road to find the lap time.
What the RS buys can be measured. Throttle House's own lap put it about a second clear of the 992 GT3 on the same board, Savagegeese worked out two and a half meters less stopping distance from 120 mph, and Hagerty's Henry Catchpole thought the standard GT3's brakes were good until he tried these: "a whole other level." EVO counts springs "50 percent stiffer than in the regular GT3," and Autotrader finds the steering response "lightning quick, even more so than the standard GT3." The engine is not the difference. Tedward quotes 518 horsepower, "a little bit more than the standard GT3," and Savagegeese points out that the extra drag and weight leave the RS "a little less quick in a straight line."
The GT3 answers on the days between track days. It keeps the front trunk that the RS gives up to its central radiator, Throttle House calls its steering "god-like", and with less wing it gives less away on the straights: the GT3 Touring was reeling the RS back in at the end of Auto Express's drag race, AutoWeek has the RS slower at top speed, and MotorWeek's Manthey-kit GT3 ran a tenth quicker in their acceleration test than the GT3 RS had a year earlier. Savagegeese's verdict on the RS: "by far the worst street car" and "a complete driving tool."
The RS is the faster car wherever there is a corner or a braking zone. The GT3 is the one you can also use.
