We watched 16 videos from 9 reviewers. Want the stronger engine and the car you can use every day? M2. Want the one that feels better through a corner? Supra, and on handling and fun the reviewers didn't split at all. It's a small sample, so drive both.

Counts are head-to-head calls: each time a reviewer picked one car over the other.
M2 is faster due to superior engine output.
Where reviewers split. Nobody disputes that the M2 is the faster car — the split is over whether that matters. Supra fans call it more natural, more nimble and less isolated; M2 fans love that it's genuinely overpowered for its traction and say it's a track weapon you can still daily. Daily usability splits too: the M2's back seat makes it 'an actual car', while the Supra's cockpit is a bunker you can't see out of — even if its ride and ZF auto are easy in traffic.

“the M2 and Supra have similarish power to weight and similarish acceleration until they shift into third gear and then that thing takes off”
Supra steering is more direct than the M2.

“It is definitely on the number side, similar to most BMWs, the G87 M2, for example. I would argue that steering is even more numb”

the steering's more direct
Modified Supra feels more natural to drive than the stock M2.
M2 is a superior daily driver.
M2 is better value, offering a superior engine compared to the Supra.

“it doesn't cost much more than the comparatively impractical Supra that's powered by a lesser BMW engine”

I can't justify it... 47,000. man you're edging on 50 and that's where the 3-liter supra starts
“Two BMW straight-sixes, two different briefs: the G87 M2 is the faster, heavier, do-everything coupe; the A90 Supra is the lighter, more playful two-seat sports car.
The M2's S58 is the stronger engine where it counts — reviewers who ran them together say the M2 makes its time on the straights, pulling hard above 4,000 rpm where the Supra's B58 starts to run out of steam. It's also the one you could own as your only car: a real back seat and, in one reviewer's words, 'an actual car.'
The Supra answers with feel. It's lighter, tighter and more nimble through turns, with more direct steering and a chassis that 'has rotation everywhere' — a car that talks to you more and feels less isolated than the current BMW. And if you want three pedals, its manual is the clear favorite; the M2's is called the most rubbery of the bunch.
Pick the M2 for pace and everyday breadth, the Supra for the conversation.
“But would this win in a race against the GR Supra manual edition? 100% I think I would have my money on this.”

“the supera just felt a bit more Nimble than the M2 to be honest I literally had more fun driving this than with the M2”
“I genuinely, genuinely believe these cars are going to be six figures in 10, 15 years.”
